Gold Coast forward Tom Lynch is taking plenty of pride from his early position atop the AFL's Coleman Medal tally.

Lynch's five-goal haul in the Suns' Queensland derby loss to Brisbane last weekend means the 23-year-old has 18 goals from four matches this season to be two clear of Sydney's Lance Franklin and North Melbourne's Jarrad Waite on the goalkicking standings.

Lynch says the tally is a reflection of his good recent form, which he's out to continue in Saturday's home clash with the unbeaten Kangaroos.
